A living city

Today Sheki is one of Azerbaijan's main tourist cities. People come for the Khan's Palace and the caravanserais, for the green mountains of the Greater Caucasus and, of course, for the halva.

The historic core of Sheki inside the fortress walls is essentially an open-air museum: the palace, the caravanserais, mosques, workshops and narrow streets that are a pleasure to wander.
